Building decision tabled
After urging Public Works Director Larry Coloni to make sure “it doesn’t fall through the cracks,” Trustee Bob Rasho asked the Board to table a decision about disposal of the old Vil- lage Hall building on Elwood Street. Rasho is chair of the Public Works Committee, which on Dec. 14 recommended either selling the 2,400 square-foot concrete structure, or razing it to sell the land. The committee’s goal is to eliminate the estimated $1,600 annual utility bill to heat and air condition the vacant structure, which is currently used to store machinery for the Public Works Department. Most recently, proponents of a senior center lobbied for renovation of the site for their use. |
